Senior year is busy! There are so many boxes to check to make sure the transition beyond high school goes smoothly. From yearbooks to scholarship and college applications, your year is likely packed to the brim of things to do including senior portraits.
The options for senior photos are abundant. Should you have studio portraits or on-location with a beautiful landscape? When it comes to senior portraits, the question I get asked most often by my senior parents is “when is the best time to take senior portraits?” This is such a good question, and here is my best advice. The senior year flies by so stinking fast and the last half of the year even faster. I highly recommend having photos taken the first half of the year if possible. Not only is it is one more item checked off of your ever growing to-do list, you can use your professional senior portraits for the yearbook photos and memoirs. Also, some scholarship applications are now requiring a headshot. Why not use your senior portrait session to get a fabulous photo for your scholarship applications. Now don’t stress if you find yourself in the second half of the school year, just get them scheduled with your favorite photographer. ;) My goals to make one of the many items on your to-do list this year as effortless and as pleasant as possible.
